I myself am an artist, and enjoy drawing and painting. So with this course, i hope to better understand art and its history. I think that it will be interesting to learn about not only the names of pieces of art, but also their background, meaning, and reason. To this day, I have not taken any art history classes, so this will be a first for me.
I have never really been to big museums and looked at a lot of artwork, I was always more interested in doing artwork myself. So, I really don't know what my most memorable encounter with art is. With this class, I hope to pick up skills that will help me better appreciate the art around me.
